En HOOD Architects decidimos participar en el concurso ONEPRIZE NY, en el que se proponía diseñar un espacio para los creativos de ONE LAB en un antiguo astillero de New York. Nuestra propuesta está inspirada por el carácter industrial del propio edificio. Proponemos la construcción de dos pasarelas y una gran grúa que, junto con un sistema de carriles en cubierta, facilita la versatilidad del espacio y la conexión con el espacio central. Imaginamos diversas situaciones, que se ven reflejadas en los planos e ilustraciones.
With HOOD Architects, we decided to take part in ONE PRIZE competition, whose theme was designing a new space for ONE LAB «makers» in a former shipyard of New York. Our proposal is inspired by the industrial atmosphere of the building. We project two gangways and a crane which, helped by a pulleys and hooks system hanging from the ceiling, provide a versatile space and make easier the connection with the main space. We considered different situations, that you can see in our plans and illustrations.
