También en Cádiz, en la parte más occidental de la ciudad, está el Parque del Genovés. Nos pidieron que diseñáramos un hotel. A continuación podéis ver los croquis de dos diferentes propuestas. Hice una superestructura que parecía flotar, apoyada sobre grandes soportes disimulados por una topografía de colinas a modo de continuación del parque. Las habitaciones ofrecían una experiencia única: la relación con el entorno tenía diferentes variantes en función de los sentidos que adquirían mayor protagonismo. Las últimas imágenes son de las habitaciones en las que primaba el olfato y el oído.
Still in Cádiz, in the westernmost part of the city, there’s a park called Parque del Genovés. We had to design a hotel there. Below, you can see the sketches of two different proposals. Finally, I made an elevated superstructure, which looked like it was floating, supported by big brackets hidden in a hilled topography which let the park continue under the hotel. The rooms offered a unique experience: the relation with the environment was different depending on the sense the guests needed more. Last images show the rooms where sense of smell and hearing are the most important.
